Graphics for GoA

Right, just tonight I have been playing around with the model viewer for WoW and can tell you its quite a fun thing to play with . I can basically recreate chars looks, equip and sort it as I see fit.. So I got to thinking, because I enjoy using photoshop and the more I work on it the more experience I have (been using it for a couple of years now). Anyway I was thinking that if anyone would like to have images made for the forums, be it for a Event, Raid, Group pic etc. just to make things look pretty. I would seriously be happy to do this so don't be afraid to ask .

I made a quick example of the sort of thing that could be made: -


This was pretty rushed and was just made to give you an Idea really. In reality ofc I wouldn't think of 1v1ing Ego with the poo gear I have at the mo lol.. and ego's dwarfen looks probably are not accurate there.

So if its a char of you or whatever, I would need a screen grab of how your char looks without equipment on (naked pics on a postcard pls ). I also really encourage you to start using the armory aswell, as I can see what equip you have on!

I think this would be a good idea and would be happy to do it, but thats just me so what do you guys think? I know we don't need it but I think it would be nice for headers/titles of threads.

I'm afraid I don't mate... I'll have to look into it at some point and also getting a mic for the team speak stuff once I hit 80, cus I'm sure it'll be helpful for the raids etc.

Well, i dont use skype just for calls, but you can exchange files and chat trough it aswell, so i would recommend you to download it and add me to your contact list.

Thats really cool. if you get time, I'd like to get a list of my characters all on one pic maybe :-D

Yeh, No probs skin... Just get all your chars onto the armory Here and send me a PM with screenshots of how they look without a helm on so I can accuratly remake the face + hair.. Do you know how big you want it aswell in Pixels? I could even make you a wallpaper lol.. if you love them that much that is .

Heck, mostly I was going to next ask for a sig like yours haha.

I'll have to think about size etc tho. No background size tho. I just use a mirror next to my PC for that stuff ;-D

I love playing with Photoshop too, I think it's cool that you're playing with the WoW armory 3d model tool, I have not ventured that far yet! LoL I have just been making renders out of screen shots. I had to learn Photoshop, Illustrator and all that for school when I was working on my BA in Graphic Design.

Yea I noticed some photoshop work on your avatar and sig.. even in your pic on 'what guildies look like', little bit of sparkle animation too . I'm doing a Ba in Games Design, so we also use it alot.. along with all sorts of different mapping tools like UDK and Source's SDK.. I'm just too used to making things from scratch on photoshop, like textures etc. But you really should have a play with the WoW Model Viewer, its free to download and not all that hard to use, you can even change the character to make it look like yours with whatever equip it has on. Give it a go anyway .

I thought about Game design, but I think I would have a meltdown working with animation and coding like that! I would be happier designing the character storyboards and promo artwork than the actual game.
